Jongleer mee voor Abu Sakha

Een warme oproep van de Vrienden van de Palestijnse Circusschool: Kom op zaterdag 16 april mee jongleren voor Mohammed Abu Sakha op het Albertinaplein in Brussel, vlakbij het centraal station. Verkleed je als clown en toon je solidariteit met Abu Sakha en andere Palestijnse politieke gevangenen naar aanleiding van de Internationale Dag voor Palestijnse Gevangenen.
Waarom jongleren we voor Abu Sakha?
Mohammed Abu Sakha is een 24-jarige Palestijnse circustrainer bij de Palestijnse Circusschool. Hij geeft wekelijks les aan zo’n 150 leerlingen, waaronder 30 met een beperking. Op 14 december werd hij gearresteerd door Israëlische soldaten en veroordeeld tot zes maanden administratieve detentie zonder aanklacht of proces. Hij wordt onterecht vastgehouden op basis van “geheim bewijsmateriaal” van de bezetter.
Elke gearresteerde heeft zo snel mogelijk recht op een eerlijk proces volgens het Internationaal Verdrag inzake Burgerrechten en Politieke Rechten. Israël schendt deze afspraak door de gevangene niet officieel aan te klagen en de advocaat geen inzage te geven in het bewijsmateriaal.
Wat doen we?
Als Vrienden van de Palestijnse Circusschool willen we onze solidariteit tonen met Abu Sakha en met de 600 andere Palestijnse administratieve gevangenen. We verkleden ons als clown en verzamelen op het Albertinaplein om samen enkele minuten te jongleren. Nog nooit gejongleerd? Geen paniek, we voorzien een korte initiatie zodat iedereen mee kan doen! We voorzien ook circusanimatie en een standje waar je de brief van Amnesty International kan ondertekenen of je foto kan nemen met het free abu sakha bordje.
Waar en wanneer?
Afspraak op zaterdag 16 april om 14.00 uur op het Albertinaplein te Brussel, op twee minuten wandelen van het Centraal Station. Mobiliseer gerust heel je achterban! Tot dan!
