Strategisch denken… Ik heb er even mijn buik van vol.
De zomer is voorbij, de dagen worden korter, het weer is miezerig, school is terug begonnen – voor iedereen toch wel een ijkpunt in zijn werkjaar – en mijn agenda loopt vol. Ik heb het gevoel terug op een roetsjbaan te zitten tot het volgende voortgangsrapport dat op 1 april 2018 aan de Vlaamse administratie moet bezorgd worden.
En nee, ik ben niet depressief noch cynisch. Ik doe mijn job nog altijd supergraag, ik heb schitterende geëngageerde collega’s, ik zie ‘onze’ circusartiesten, -gezelschappen en -families graag, ik laaf me aan hun goesting om hun ziel in hun creaties te leggen, hun energie om hun lichaam continu te onderhouden, om steeds opnieuw het beste van zichzelf te geven. Ik ben blij dat Circuscentrum daarbij – hopelijk – een wezenlijke partner kan zijn.
Maar ik heb nu even een naïeve droom. Zouden we geen dag zonder strategisch denken in het leven kunnen roepen? Een dag waarop iedereen zonder gêne, zonder verborgen agenda’s en rancune gewoon oprecht zijn mening kan zeggen, zijn ideeën kan verwoorden en in discussie kan treden. Een dag waarop nooit bruggen kunnen opgeblazen worden. Een dag waar alle kritiek, bedenkingen en evaluaties de facto als constructief gedefinieerd worden.
Een dag waarop de circusateliers ongezouten hun realiteit kunnen uitleggen aan het beleid. Een dag waarop het nieuwe CircusMagazine voluit neerschrijft wat er leeft binnen het circusveld zonder rekening te moeten houden met evenwichten. Een dag waarop artiesten zonder strategisch denken een dossier kunnen indienen met enkel hun artistiek project, zonder resultaatverbintenis, zonder premièredatum. Een dag waarop steden en gemeenten vlot in maximum één uur tijd toestemming kunnen geven aan de nomadische circussen.
Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat we er allemaal als mens zouden bij winnen en dat het volledige Vlaamse circusveld en het ruime cultuurveld er baat bij zouden hebben. En zelfs nu moet ik de neiging onderdrukken om me af te vragen of mijn Circoscoop wel strategisch oké is. Ben ik iemand vergeten? Kan er zich iemand gekrenkt voelen?
Shame on me, blame on me.
